Globally recognized bestselling Sr. Series piston company, Cirrus Aircraft, has been named the receiver of the 2017 Robert J. Collier Trophy for its recent completion of the first single-engine personal Jet. This award is bestowed upon a certain entity that has a significant progressive impact in the aeronautics or astronautics industry. For a brief example of the kind of competition, Cirrus had in this race of this year’s trophy included large names in the industry such as Edwards Air Force Base F-35 Integrated Test Force, Boeing 737 MAX, NASA/JPL Cassini Project Team along with others.
